Class details: Step into the joyful, colour-splashed world of watercolour with artist Sally Walsh of Sillier Than Sally Art Studio. In this uplifting workshop, you’ll create your very own flamboyant flamingo while learning watercolour techniques that bring life, movement, and personality to your art.

We’ll begin with a gentle warm up - 30 minutes of playful watercolour exercises and a chat about “the ways of watercolour,” so you can feel confident before diving into your main piece. From there, we’ll sketch our basic flamingos together. If drawing isn’t your thing, never fear: Sally’s handy templates will help you get started with ease.

Once our flamingo takes shape, it’s time to layer on the magic. Step by step, you’ll build depth, vibrancy, and those signature loose, flowing details that make watercolours so enchanting. Along the way, Sally will share her favourite tips, tricks, and little “aha!” moments, ensuring you leave not only with a fabulous flamingo, but also the skills and inspiration to keep painting long after the class.

Whether you’re completely new to watercolours or an experienced creative looking to loosen up your style, this workshop is designed to be both supportive and seriously fun, because art should make your heart as happy as your pretty paint palette does.
