🎨 SUPPLIES NEEDED

Most students already have these at home:

• Watercolours

• Round brushes: size 2 (small), size 4 (medium), size 10 (a bit more chunky) recommended.

• Watercolour paper: (A3 size, 300gsm medium tooth cold pressed water colour paper \ any decent water colour paper you can find)

• Mixing Palette 

• Pencil & eraser & washi tape

• Two water cups

• Paper towel

• black Fineliner & white gel pen (both optional)

  - Please substitute any of the above with what you already have

Hi, I’m Sally Walsh - a professional watercolour artist, teacher, and your unofficial Art Fairy Godmother 🧚♀️🎨

I’ve been teaching watercolour for over 15 years through my creative art biz Sillier Than Sally, and have guided thousands of students through joyful, confidence-building art classes. My teaching style is relaxed, encouraging, a little unhinged, and always beginner-friendly, but I will push you a little past your comfort zone as well - psst: advanced students I see you).

This workshop is about progress over perfection, joy over pressure, and painting a future that actually feels good to step into.

Do I need watercolour experience?
Nope! This class is beginner-friendly and guided step by step.

What if I am advanced in watercolours or art?
Sally always teaches to where multiple students are at, so if you are more advanced, this is a good opportunity to push your art even more.

Can I watch the recording instead of attending live?
100% Yes! A full recording is included, perfect for overseas students.

Do I have to paint live during the session?
Not at all, paint live only if you want to. You can watch our paint session and tackle your art piece later, while rewatching the art class if you like. 

What if I can’t finish during the session?
No stress. You can continue at your own pace using the recording.

Is this suitable for teens?
Yes — suitable for ages 14+.

Can we ask questions during the live art class?
Yes, you totally can, you can unmute yourself or ask via the chat box, and I can answer your question as we are painting away.

Does my face have to appear on the zoom call?
That's completely up to you, you can have your video off or on, you get that option when joining the zoom call, if your video is on - it will only show up for a hot minute anyway, as I will have my video nice and big so everyone can see the painting details coming together.

How do you make contact in the lead up to the class?
Via email, so please make sure to put your current (and correct) email address in the checkout section, then look out for a few emails in the lead up to our paint day.

What currency is the payment in?
Currency is in Australian Dollars, so AUD.

Can I purchase this as a gift for someone?
Of course you can, once purchased please email me at sally@sillierthansally.com with your email address that you purchased under, and the email address and name you of the lucky person you are gifting it to, that way I can include them in the lead up emails to our class and make sure there is a spot for them on our zoom session.
