Class details: 

Step into the wonderfully messy, colour-filled world of mixed media with artist Sally Walsh from Sillier Than Sally Art Studio. In this joyful workshop, you'll discover the freedom of layering paint, collage, texture and playful mark making to create your own beautifully unique abstract mixed media artwork.

We'll begin with a fun & fast acrylic abstract layer, then choose your fav colour scheme to paint with and collage up a storm with colourful and vintage papers. You'll experiment with acrylic paints, stencils, vintage papers, stamps, dripping paint, texture tools and expressive mark making, learning how simple layers can transform a blank canvas into something full of depth, personality and happy little surprises - It's all about building your artwork one playful layer at a time.
Sally will guide you through her creative process, sharing her favourite tips, tricks and those wonderful little "aha!" moments that help take the fear out of creating. There are no perfect lines or drawing skills required - just a willingness to experiment, trust the process and enjoy the journey.

Whether you're completely new to mixed media or already love getting your hands delightfully painty, this workshop is designed to leave you feeling inspired, confident and creatively recharged. You'll head home not only with a vibrant artwork to be proud of, but with a whole collection of techniques and ideas to continue exploring long after the paints have dried.

Because sometimes the most magical art happens when you let go of perfection... and simply play.
